Work Permit Application

Upon your inquiry, we will provide the following within 1 working day :

  • Check on applicant's eligibility
  • Price quotation

Upon confirmation of your eligibility and acceptance of quotation, we will require the documents listed in step 3 from you, depending on the type of pass you are applying for.

Upon checking and finalising all requested documents, we will proceed your work pass through the online application process:

  • A draft copy of the work pass application will be sent to you for confirmation.
  • Most application will take 1 week for processing upon submission to MOM. It may take longer if additional information is required.

Before work pass holder arrive

1. Purchase security bond for non-Malaysian workers.

  • Ensure that the insurer sends MOM the security bond details. This will takes up to 3 working days.
  • The security bond must take effect when work pass holder arrive. Otherwise, work pass holder will be refused entry into Singapore.

2. Buy medical insurance for work pass holder.

When your workers arrive

1. Within 2 weeks of arrival, work pass holder must go for medical examination by a Singapore-registered doctor.

2. Complete the Security Bond form (should be signed by a director who is registered with ACRA).

Issued of Work Permit within this timeframe :

1. A Malaysian

  • After entering Singapore.
  • Before the short-term visit pass (i.e. immigration white card) expires.
  • Before the due date stated on the in-principle approval (IPA) letter.

2. A non-Malaysian

  • After entering Singapore.
  • Within 14 days after arriving in Singapore.

3. Changing to a new employer

  • Before the current Work Permit expires.
  • Before the due date stated on the IPA letter.
  • Is valid for 1 month from the date of issue
  • Work pass holder should be given a copy of the IPA letter. It allows them to travel in and out of Singapore while waiting for the Work Permit card.
  • State if the work pass holder needs to report to MOM Service Centre – Hall C to register fingerprints and photo.
  • First-time applicant or those whose last registration was more than 5 years ago will need to go to MOM for registration of fingerprints (within 2 weeks after the pass is issued, if required).
  • For registration, appointment must be made at the Employment Pass Services Centre (EPSC). Applicant has to register within 2 weeks after the pass is issued.

 

Documents required for Appointments:

  • Original passport.
  • Appointment Letter.
  • Notification Letter.
  • Documents listed in the IPA letter and Notification Letter.
  • MOM will deliver the card to us in 4 working days upon registration/document verification.
  • We will notify you to come down to our office for card collection.
  • Renewal of work permit can start as early as 6 to 8 weeks before it expires.
  • Within 1 week after last day of notice or 1 day after the Work Permit expires.
  • Seek tax clearance from the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS).
  • Settle all outstanding employment issues, such as paying of salary.
  • Ensure work pass holder has a valid passport.
  • Employer has to purchase a direct air ticket to the international airport in the worker’s home country, nearest to the hometown.
